The First Day of School...
Today was my kids' first day of school. Today was more of an orientation day with them only going to school for a short time. My son started fourth grade and my daughter started sixth grade. My son is still in the elementary school, but my daughter began middle school this year. I realized today just how fast the time has gone since she went to her first day of kindergarten. (boy, seems like yesterday they were both heading off to school for the first time ever!) Last year was their most successful school year ever, and I believe that was due in part to the fact that I was at home with them after school. Not only did they both get the highest grades that they have ever gotten, but they also always stayed on task right after school. The best part was that it wasn't a fight to get them to get their homework done either. I will be home with them this year after school too and am already positive that it will be even more successful than last year.
To my kids: I hope that you have fun this year in school! Although I hate the fact that you are growing up and feel that you are growing up way too quickly, I know that you will have a blast this year in school. You will probably have even more fun this year in school than you did last year and you will learn so much! Study hard, be respectful and kind, and have fun!
I love you!

They look bright and chipper and rarin' to go.
They were!! Of course, they are both not feeling well today! C. stayed home from school. Hopefully, they will both go to school tomorrow.
OMG. I cry when I see how cute they are. I miss you all so much.
Lisa,
I cry when I realize how fast they are growing up! I wish I could slow it down, although I know that I can't. I really miss you all too!!! (You have no idea!) I can't believe that it has almost been a year since we have been home.
Where have you been?
Cele,
Sorry I have been so absent lately. My hand has really been hurting, so I have tried to stay away from the computer at home because I have been doing a lot of typing at work, which makes my hand hurt worse. Plus, I have been super busy getting things ready to go to Montana in just three more weeks (x-mas gifts, b-day gifts, etc), not to mention getting b-day gifts for C. Things will settle down after we get back from Montana because I won't be working, although I think I will have to go to the doctor for my hand! I will tell you more about everything on Friday at the workshop. E-mail me if you aren't going to be able to make it to the workshop.
