Waves in the Sky
This was the first poem that I ever wrote:
I hope that you enjoy it...
Waves in the Sky
They can be heard soft at first
slowly getting louder and louder
until they are right above you.
They roll across the sky
over and over, never ending.
Their graceful, flowing form
is a perfect formation against
the early morning sky.
They can be seen
at the same time every year
making their journey southward...
like waves in the sky.
I used to deliver papers. I did it for some extra spending money and the exercise. This poem came to me one morning after I finished my route.

Nice poem. I love it!
Did you get my original comment on this? I think Blogger was freaking out.
I love this poem. You are gifted.
SML,
No, I didn't get it. Blogger is truly freaking out today! When I pulled up my Blog, it did not show this comment, but when I went into comments here it is! Weird...
Thanks, it means a lot coming from you, truly!
Ooh, very nice for a first poem Jazzy. If you start building a quantity let me know, I have a poetry website.
Thanks cele,
I have written a few, although I haven't written one in a while. How many were you talking about??
well so far the poets posting on my website have been a member of "our" Friday night workshop - but that has basically devolved into a Friday night gab fest. One poet has only two poems I think, but most have about five. A bio, links to their own websites, and a photo.

Cool,
I will definitely check it out. I haven't written in a while. I wrote two poems about my Grandma and haven't written any others since. I guess my mind just hasn't been in the right mindset for it. Partly because of losing my Grandma, but mostly because I have been doing a lot of schooling since she died. First, I finished my BA in Paralegal Studies and then a year later started this graduate MBA program, which I am still in (BUT after Monday officially only have three classes left!)
My poems just usually come to me. It is hard to explain. Once I start writing, they just kind of come out. This poem and a few others are located at www.poetry.com. This poem has always been one of my favorites.
Jazzy some of the best poems come like that. I've been in a drought lately and have to work at it. That usually means lesser quality poems for me.
I would have to agree with you. I have written a couple in which I had to work at them, and they just aren't as good as the poems that just come out.
